A number people also applied for the Executive Director positions, and we applaud everyone who took the time to do so. We were very impressed by all the applicants, and were delighted to see so many people within IDEAS step-up to apply–a clear signal that people are committed to the vision of IDEAS and have a desire to take it to the next level.

We have decided to select Adi Singh and Elliot Stoller to be this coming year’s Co-Executive Directors. Given their experience, dedication, and passion for our work, we are excited to see them guide the organization next year.

This is an important transition time and we hope to make this as seamless and effective as possible. The old executive team will continue to remain as involved as we have been to finish the year, and throughout the summer to help guide the transition. We will be meeting on daily basis with the new Executive Directors.

The blog includes recap of meeting notes as well as interesting articles, videos, and discussion on issues of interest.

Thanks for all those who came out to our information session this past Thursday on Stanford’s campus. We had a great showing with over 30 students in attendance from all disciplines, ages, and countries! You will find a few pictures from the event in an upcoming post, as well as the PowerPoint presentation we showed.

We are officially done taking applications for this recruitment cycle and are proud to announce that we have received more than 50 applications for the various leadership positions as well as general membership applicants. We are looking to begin looking through the applications on this Tuesday (10/13), and you will begin to hear back from us shortly. We are planning to hold interviews for leadership positions on Friday and Saturday (10/15-10/16), and will conclude the weekend with a mandatory orientation session on Sunday (10/18) at 7:00 PM in Old Union. This will consist of a mini-introduction, training, and break-up sessions into separate committees to begin working on the many projects we are planning and are hoping to execute.
